March 2011 News

With an item list as long as your arm (Mr Tickle’s arm, even!), minx design were briefed to produce a diverse and exciting array of on-the-day materials for this Roadshow, aimed at making the delegates’ day as motivational and fun as possible. From pop-up banners carrying an inspirational theme with quotes from the nation’s favourite sports stars to a cocktail invitation; from large flags and personalised place setting cards to lanyards and feedback forms – the list goes on! With a frightenlingly tight deadline and such a wide range of materials the pressure was on – but we successfully delivered and the client was delighted with everything.

AuDeo have approached minx design to redesign and develop their current website. As their bag is visual communication, what better for us to take to them than a really stylish, clean, easy-on-the-eye design that engages the reader and captures their imagination? No wordy explanations and lengthy product descriptions, simply visual beauty. Simultaneously we are designing a new logo for them to complement this new direction.

minx design have produced an advertising campaign to promote this major series of events due to take place this autumn. The events, driven by environmental and economic concerns, are designed to take the latest heating and plumbing technologies and training to the trade. Throughout this promotional campaign we are focusing more on online advertising rather than print, mindful that these are events are designed to make installers and engineers more aware of opportunities available to them for protecting the environment.

Following the success of the recently developed iPhone App, minx design are producing an iPad version of Thomson Reuters Market Release Calendar 2011. Although only in its initial testing stage at the moment, we’re very excited about working on this project with Thomson Reuters – and with a launch date of March 2011 it’s all hands to the pump. Perhaps it’s time to purchase a new iPad 2 for testing?

Over the past few weeks we have been putting together a search engine optimisation strategy for edale. edale are a UK manufacturer of specialist machinery for web printing and converting and with a worldwide audience are keen to see their search engine rankings improve – not only in the UK but also throughout the rest of the world. minx are working closely with the marketing team to put together a plan to see their site rise up the google rankings.

Since working with Bright Ideas Trust from 2009, minx design have created business stationery and many items of marketing collateral – all for print. We have now been tasked with redesigning and developing their website. The change reflects their desire to shift the appeal of the site more towards the 16-30 year olds they help, rather than at the corporations that support them. The site goes live this month and despite the move towards the younger audience it will appeal to all – we’ve tested it on the older minxes!

In January 2011 minx design were recommended to Limelight Access. Several meetings later we are very pleased to announce we’re designing a brochure and putting together a complete welcome pack for members of this exclusive, private-members club. Those fortunate enough to join receive a preferential range of services, upgrades and discounts from booking a restaurant to overseas travel and sporting events. This has been a great opportunity for the minxes to produce some stunning, extravagant designs – whilst dreaming about what a Lotto win could bring us!

mergermarket

March 2011

minx design continue to produce M&A Insider, mergermarket’s monthly report which is the definitive crib sheet to what is happening in global Mergers & Acquisitions. A recent internal restructuring within mergermarket has meant that we not only continue to work closely with the London and New York offices, but now also have an inroad into the Hong Kong office.

This month sees the UK’s affordable heating company exhibit at London’s Ideal Home Show. We have been very proud to have been involved in producing all of their materials, including large stands, pop-up banners, posters, flyers and mailers. They have also incorporated this month’s Red Nose Day into their stand with a competition, for which we’ve produced several supporting items. Not content with just the one Show, they’ll be doing it all over again at Glasgow’s Ideal Home Show in May 2011 – using the minxes once again.

Since adding International House London to our portfolio in August 2010 they’ve not let the grass grow under our feet! In February minx design redesigned the corporate stationery for both International House London and St Edward’s, Oxford. February also saw us redesigning their suite of adverts with a new, vibrant colour palette and a consistent style to work across all sizes. Finally, with the launch of their new residential courses for younger learners just around the corner, we’re this month working on several launch items from luggage tags and stickers to pop-up banners and Agents’ brochures.
