Paul

To Paul, design and marketing communications is like Kung Fu, in that it requires years of training to become really good at it and lots of regular practice to keep your techniques fresh and your reactions razor sharp.

With more than twenty years of experience working in corporate and agency brand, marketing, PR and event teams as both a client and an account manager, Paul has had plenty of practice and his appetite for the creation of dynamic, innovative and inspirational through-the –line communications remains as strong as it does for crisps and curry! Fortunately for him the team at minx share his passion!

Paul loves to conceptualise and quickly sees the big picture but he also has an OCD like connection with logistical detail, budgeting and schedules so whilst his head is in often in the clouds his feet are firmly planted on terra firma.

He takes coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon, he loves music and movies and perhaps movie trailers even more for the skill required to instantly connect with an audience and sell a big story in just a couple of minutes with all the drama and emotion necessary to leave you wanting the full experience!

He is inspired by brands that live up to their promises and very annoyed by those who don’t.

He’s a robust, physical chap who put his “angry white pyjamas” back on 4 years ago after a break of more than 20 years and went and finished what he started in his late teens by getting his Karate black belt and becoming an instructor! Somewhat ridiculously he can still do the splits and will happily demonstrate this if required. Annoyingly though he has to be reminded that we don’t have to have a full blown tea ceremony every time he puts the kettle on!
