At minx design branding isn’t about designing a logo but about creating an icon. Is an icon created or does it develop over time and in relation to the brand? Is the logo or brand only iconic to its customers?
Fundamentally we believe iconic logos aren’t created but develop out of a strong brand strategy, cohesive marketing plan and structured business proposition. More significantly, iconic brands aren’t directly related to the size of the budget. You don’t, for example, need to part with the reported £500,000 BP spent to change straight lines to squiggly lines or to fork out £400,000 for putting a 20 on top of a 12, to make a great brand.

minx design has been involved in many conversations with clients and, despite our best efforts, there remain many of you out there holding onto the belief that the more you pay the better the logo. This in reality just isn’t the case. Here at minx design we look at the logo in relation to how it’s going to be used, perceived, implemented, its longevity, accessibility and how much you have available to spend.
